Hi all :)

Post by italianilliop » Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:03 pm

I'm registered by a lot, but now it's time to introducing me :D
I'm crushed into Teddy Ruxpin's collection vortex a couple of years ago, but Teddy was a dream when I was a child. A "too old" child for Teddy (I was 8 in 1985), allowing parents' idea. Only now I've finally making happy my interior child, buying Teddy, Grubby, a lot of accessories, all 13 italian tapes & books (except the first, The Airship, I've only the book for it). I've also "digitized" my Teddy (with a cassette car adapter and an mp3 player) for preserving the original tapes and motor of Teddy, and works fine. I'm searching other mp3s (and pdf too) but isn't so easy. Some of them are on archive.org (I know someone in this forum uploaded there, thanks), all Italian are on ilmondoditeddyruxpin.it, but I can't find the others. :(
I hope it will be a great new year to everybody... if someone can help me, it would be really appreciated :3

This is my sheet music transcription of "My myself and I" from "Quiet please" tape :)

Hi! I'm registering for the exact same reasons, I loved Teddy when I was a kid but I was more obsessed with He-Man at the time, and honestly Teddy was just too expensive. I'm able to relive that now as an adult and I love him so much! He's so wholesome, and he and Grubby just make me smile seeing their faces. I'm not sure where you can find downloads, but I got most of my missing mp3s from youtube videos. Good luck on your search, I'm also currently trying to complete my tape library so I can create the highest quality recording possible. I want an MP3 modded Teddy, but haven't quite gotten it to work!

Hi Bagnostrocleetus.
I've downloaded the mp3s from:
1) https://ilmondoditeddyruxpin.jimdo.com/ ... of-wonder/ (italian tapes)
2) http://www.botsrule.com/TeddyRuxpin/Ted ... nFiles.htm (one of oldest website I've find)
3) https://archive.org/details/@unclemixtape (only audio)
4) https://archive.org/details/@teddyruxpinandtttestuff
5) https://archive.org/details/@kumoashi (Summertime corrupted at about 5 minutes)
6) https://archive.org/details/@blue_octo (the great Blue Octopede, I hope she'll complete the collection ^^)

About "digitizing" Teddy, I've simply used a tape adapter for car audio tape player (search on amazon) and a basic mp3 player connected (but you can use your smartphone or pc). The only thing to do it's another hole in the adapter to allowing the special switch to enable, same as the original tapes (only if your Teddy have the plastic player, not the metal one).
No need to modify Teddy, and he can play his tapes as well :)

Sweet! Thank you, I've been looking for that Livin' in the Land of Grundo tape for awhile! I have the Greatest Hits tape in box, and I didn't want to open it to get a copy. I've never heard it! I'll have to send her special thanks.
